 Range of activities:

  • laboratory analysis of petrophysical properties of rocks:
    • determination of density, matrix density and porosity,
    • Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR):
    • determining the distribution of water saturation in the pore space of samples,
    • T1-T2 correlation (maps), water/hydrocarbon saturation estimation,
    • identifying the presence of organic matter (TOC),
    • permeability determination (Coates or SDR model),
    • assessment of electrical parameters (pore structure index m and wettability n),
    • measurements of absolute permeability;
  • laboratory analysis of petrophysical properties of rocks:
    • qualitative and quantitative mineral composition of rocks and cuttings by (quantitative) X-ray diffraction (XRD),
    • qualitative mineral composition of the separated clay fraction by XRD,
    • the concentration of natural radioactive elements: uranium, thorium and potassium in rocks, drilling muds and building materials,
    • the concentration of radiogenic radon in air and soil air;
  • whole core computed tomography (CT) and core samples microtomography:
    • 3-D visualization and analysis of rock samples pore structure,
    • whole core CT,
    • whole core bulk density and porosity log;
  • analysis of thermal properties of rocks:
    • measurements of thermal conductivity of rocks,
    • thermal conductivity estimation on the basis of mineral content and porosity,
    • modelling of temperature distribution and heat flow in reservoirs,
    • thermal conductivity prediction from well log data;
  • well log data analysis:
    • determination of lithology and reservoir properties of rocks based on well log data,
    • depth–to–time transformation and preparation of well log data for seismic,
    • assessment of the casing string cementation state based on well log data interpretation,
    • depth match between the driller’s and logger’s depth by a direct side-by-side comparison of core CT scans and borehole image (electric scanner);
  • drilling muds:
    • determination of the content of natural radioactive elements: uranium, thorium, and potassium,
    • determination of the dependence of temperature on the specific electrical resistivity;
  • well site/core storage services (logging):
    • lithological interpretation of the borehole profile, based on the core and cuttings analysis (XRF/XRD),
    • Spectral core gamma-ray measurements: 40K, 238U, 232Th.
