We cordially invite authors to submit articles in the „Nafta-Gaz” monthly journal. In this monthly we publish articles on the following topics:
- geology and geochemistry,
- exploration and drilling geophysics,
- issues related to drilling and testing of oil and gas deposits, optimization of drilling technology,
- deposit engineering and development of oil and gas deposits,
- gas transport and storage,
- problems of the fuel and energy balance,
- optimization of gas use,
- improvement of oil processing processes,
- development of analytics of raw materials, semi-finished products and products using modern methods of instrumental analysis,
- economic and organizational issues of the oil industry,
- information on the domestic and foreign oil industry,
- environmental protection.
We are awaiting work related to the above-mentioned topics.
TYPE OF WORK
Original, informative, review and research papers are published, in line with the subject matter of the monthly, with the volume of articles from 10 to 15 pages (1 page = 1800 characters with spaces) + original (prepared by the author) drawings, charts, tables, etc.
REVIEW OF WORKS AND AUTHOR'S CORRECTION
Works submitted for publication are reviewed by two independent reviewers (single-blind review). Works requiring corrections are returned to the authors along with reviewers' comments. The editorial reserves the right to shorten articles and make stylistic adjustments. The final text of the article, prepared for printing, is passed to the author of the work for author's correction. The corrected and accepted text should be returned to the editorial at the latest within 2 weeks from the date of its receipt. Exceeding this deadline may lead to postponing the date of publication of the article.
PREPARATION OF MANUSCRIPT
The manuscript should contain:
- The title of the article and key words (in English), names of authors and co-authors, their place of work and position, as well as full address, telephone number and e-mail address;
- Abstracts of the article in English, each with 250-350 words; the following issues should be included in the abstracts: what is the article about, what was the subject of the study and what research was carried out, what research methods were used and briefly: what were the results obtained and what are the conclusions;
- The text of the work, in a compact and precise way discussing the current state of knowledge in the field discussed, methodology of research and discussion of the results obtained. The following structure of the article is recommended: abstract, introduction, theoretical analysis, research methodology, experimental part, results and their discussion, conclusions and list of literature (in alphabetical order). Do not enter the numbering of individual parts of the work;
- Provide the source of research funding (eg number and name of the research project awarded by NCN, NCBR, OPI, commission from industry, etc.);
- Each reference should contain information about the author, title, full name of the publishing house or conference, DOI number (if it has been assigned to a given publication), year and issue number and page numbers on which the given article was published;
- Separately, in the literature, legal and normative acts should be referred to;
- Authors are kindly asked to attach their photo and a short text to the biographical note (place of work, employer's address, position);
- If the article sent to the Editorial has been prepared by several authors, they are obliged to specify the percentage share in its preparation together with information about the entities that contributed to its creation (content-related, financial, factual contribution);
- Photographs, maps, charts, etc. submitted for publication should be prepared by the authors themselves, and if they are reprinted from other magazines (including the internet), authors should obtain and send to the Editorial, permission from the publisher who originally published these materials;
- Manifestations of scientific misconduct of the submitted articles detected by the editors regarding the concealment of the contribution of other authors in the preparation of the publication or suspicion of plagiarism will always be disclosed, including notifying the relevant entities.
REPRINTS AND AUTHOR'S COPYRIGHT
The author of the work published in the „Nafta-Gaz” monthly journal receives one copy of this monthly issue for free. Additional copies can be ordered for payment at the Editorial Office.

The Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editors make a preliminary verification of the article submitted for printing in the journal in terms of meeting the adequacy requirement for the scientific disciplines represented by this publishing series. If the given manuscript does not meet these requirements, the author is asked to correct it or the work is rejected. After being qualified for publication the appropriate Associate Editor appoints two independent reviewers. Reviewers are chosen from among recognized authorities in a given field.
The editorial secretary, after contacting the reviewers and obtaining confirmations of readiness to carry out reviews of a given article, directs the article to them.
The specialist receiving the proposals for the preparation of the review is obliged to assess their substantive competences and the possibility of making a review at a given time, and in case of doubts in this respect - to refuse to accept such a proposal.

„Nafta-Gaz” monthly journal has been published continuously since 1945. Initially it was issued under the title „Nafta" by the Oil Institute, from which the current Oil and Gas Institute - National Research Institute (INiG – PIB) evolved.

All published articles are reviewed.
Rights and obligations of the Editorial Committee
Rights
1. The editorial staff have the right to check the submitted texts with an anti-plagiarism system at every stage of publishing.
2. The handling editors have the right to edit the submitted text, after receiving a positive opinion from the Editor-in-Chief or his deputy and two reviewers, but this will be done in full consultation and cooperation with the corresponding author.
3. The editors have the right to telephone contact, by e-mail and traditional mail with the authors of the text submitted to the „Nafta-Gaz” monthly journal.
4. The editors have the right to report incidents of violation of ethical principles or originality of the submitted text to the appropriate institutions.
Obligations
1. The editors are obliged to comply with the ethical principles set by the Publisher.
2. The editorial staff takes care of the constant development of the publishing house.
3. The editors are obliged to receive the texts and submit them to the Editor-in-Chief or his deputy for an opinion.
4. The handling editors are obliged to make every effort to ensure efficient cooperation with the authors and co-workers (Scientific Council, Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editors, reviewers, proofreaders, DTP composition) taking part in the publishing process of a given manuscript.
5. The handling editors have the responsibility to coordinate editorial work, including contacts with reviewers, and communication between authors and reviewers (if necessary).
6. The editors are obliged to keep confidentiality related to the publishing process of a given specialist publication.
Rights and obligations of the Associate Editors
Rights
The Associate Editors of the „Nafta-Gaz” monthly journal have the right to direct or indirect (through the editorial office) contact with the author of the reviewed text. They also have the right to choose the form of text draft delivery for evaluation (paper printout, electronic version: editable file in * .doc, * .docx format or in * .pdf format). The Associate Editors should inform the editorial staff about the choice of the right form.
Obligations
The Associate Editors of the „Nafta-Gaz” monthly journal are required to:
• comply with ethical principles set by the Publisher,
• give an opinion on the papers received for publication in „Nafta-Gaz” monthly journal.
