Range of activities:
- sampling of a downhole and surface reservoir fluids;
- the comprehensive testing and analyses of the phase transitions/behavior of reservoir fluids samples in the Chandler/Ruska PVT systems;
- modelling of the displacement process of crude oil with a gas, using a ‘slim-tube’ physical model of the reservoir;
- viscosity measurements of crude oil with the use of rolling ball viscometer and capillary viscometer in PT (pressure temperature) conditions;
- optimization of crude oil surface separation processes;
- laboratory and simulation tests of precipitation conditions for paraffins and asphaltenes in crude oil, and the formation of hydrates in the gas;
- studies on the effectiveness of inhibitors preventing the formation of hydrates;
- laboratory modelling of the displacement processes of crude oil by a gas in mixed phase conditions;
- studies of CO2 sequestration processes in deep saline aquifers saturated with natural gas;
- studies on long drilling cores for the evaluation of the effectiveness of enhanced oil recovery methods.
